Letters for Burning

I like things to have a beginning, middle, and an end. I prefer memorable characters and haunting, straightforward language over flourishes in form or style. I want things to be honest rather than self-conscious (which, to me, is almost like the opposite of honesty nowadays). I want to remember it for a while.
